Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---The Bethel Pilots (18-4, 16-0) secured the WHAC regular season title Tuesday night with a four-set win over Cornerstone (10-15, 9-9), defeating the Golden Eagles 3-1 (25-21, 23-25, 25-15, 25-20) inside the Goodman Gymnasium.

With the victory, the Pilots are now 16-0 in conference play, and have earned the right to host the WHAC Tournament.

Prior to the contest, Junior Setter McGwire Eigenrauch was honored for surpassing his 1500 assists.

Eigenrauch recorded his 1500th assist against Goshen earlier this season, and he now holds 1753 assists as a Bethel Pilot.

Highlighting Bethel's offense was Thomas Dunkley, who recorded 16 kills alongside 11 digs.

Ling Pak Him contributed 15 kills, and Christian Wuomnga added 11, helping the Pilots total 54 kills on a .214 hitting percentage.

After taking the opening set 25-21, Bethel dropped a tight second set before responding with authority. The Pilots hit .407 in the third set, using a balanced attack and strong service pressure to regain control of the match.

Bethel closed it out in the fourth, hitting .364 to secure the win. At the net, Bethel totaled nine blocks, while defensively the team recorded 67 digs in a complete team effort.

Head Coach Jose Viera Cerame shared, "Winning the regular season means a lot to me and this team. That was our first goal in our list, we made it happen, and we will be at home for the conference tournament." He continued, "All we can do now is win the last couple of regular season games (that) we have this weekend and focus on the tournament next week...My coaching staff and my boys have been working very hard this season and I am very proud of them. We don't stop here. We have more volleyball left to play. GO PILOTS!"

With the regular season championship secured, the Pilots will have two more home games to play before turning their attention to postseason play.

On Friday April 10, the Pilots will return to the Goodman Gymnasium to face the Defiance College Yellowjackets (6-17, 3-12). Senior Day festivities will precede the WHAC contest, set for 7 PM.
