MISHAWAKA, Ind.---The Bethel Pilots defeated the Grace College Lancers 9-7 in game three of the series at Jenkins Stadium on Saturday afternoon, securing a spot in the Crossroads League Conference Tournament.
Despite the Pilots falling in game two, Bethel earned a spot in the conference tournament with their previous win over the Marian University Knights on April 10.
In Saturday's one action, Senior
Jesse Stout totaled three hits with Seniors
Lucas Thorn and
Andrew Dillon each recording two.
Game two was highlighted by Junior
Elijah Gaines, who smacked a solo shot to left center for his second homer of the season.
Freshman
Trey Delp also showcased a solid performance with two runs scored and one hit.

Lucas Nowacki put together a great quality start and performance on the mound today with
Adam Walters closing things out to secure the victory. We played very solid defense and our offense came through in big ways with key hits to score runs!"

Seth Zartman was also honored for his 23 years with the Bethel University Baseball Team between games with a custom jersey, and Senior
Andrew Dillon received the Ron Paulsen Award, the highest Bethel Athletics honor, during the pre-game senior announcements.
