SOUTH BEND, Ind. ---Bethel University hosted their annual Pilot Spring Invitational on Friday at Blackthorn, featuring men's and women's teams from 21 colleges and universities in the Midwest. The tournament was scheduled to be a two-day event but was pushed to all 36 holes on Friday due to Saturday weather concerns.
Earl Williams continued his torrid scoring pace as he carded a 4
th place finish with a three-under par 69 in round 1 and a +2 score of 74 in round 2. Freshman
Amaury Wouters (71-77) and Senior
Aaron Pasqualone 75-73) tied for 10
th place individually at 148 over the 2 rounds. Fellow seniors
Gage Brown and
Matthew Wingate played their final rounds on their home course, with Brown carding (78-78) and Wingate (81-82) respectively.
As a team, the Pilots finished third overall in the 12-team field, firing rounds of 291-299 on the day.Â
The Bethel Pilots will next travel to West Lafayette, Ind. on April 27-28 where they will compete in the Crossroads League Championship at Coyote Crossing Golf Club.
