Box Score 2 MARION, Ind. ---The Bethel Pilots (6-20, 2-12) fell to the Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats (17-8, 10-3) in Saturday's doubleheader at Sue Bowman Field.
In game one, Freshman
Madelynn Queen recorded one hit in the top of the fourth with a single to center for her 16th hit of the season.
The Pilots fell 8-0 in game one before taking the lead in the first inning of the nightcap.
Alyssa Forys was the first Pilot to face IWU's Avery Toole (9-0) and reached on a walk.
With one out on the board,
Madison Shaw showcased her eighth double of the season to put herself and Forys in scoring position.
Madelynn Queen then stepped up to the plate before reaching on a fielder's choice, while Forys found home on an error by the second baseman (1-0).
Maddy Shaw then brought the lead to 2-0 after
Peyton Renier's ground out to first.
While Bethel's defense ended the first inning quickly after four Wildcat at-bats, Indiana Wesleyan resurged in the bottom of the second with eight runs to eventually claim game two 16-2.
The Pilots will look for their next victory tomorrow at Gardner Field, as they face the University of Saint Francis Cougars (15-7, 11-3) at 3 and 5 PM.
