Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. — The Bethel Pilots (13-4. 11-0) took care of business at home Tuesday night, sweeping the Goshen College Maple Leafs (9-13, 4-7) in straight sets (25-23, 25-16, 25-17) inside the Goodman Gymnasium.
The Pilots were tested early in a tight opening set but pulled away late to take control of the match. From there, Bethel dominated, holding Goshen to a .010 hitting percentage while improving their own efficiency each set.
Thomas Dunkley led the offense with 19 kills on an efficient .429 hitting percentage, while
Santana Roybal-Benson added 6 kills without an error.
Uros Miloradovic contributed 6 kills, and
Jibbe Boeren chipped in 3 on a .429 clip.
McGwire Eigenrauch directed the offense with 29 assists as the Pilots hit .298 as a team. Defensively, Bethel totaled 38 digs led by
Eduardo Kerkoski (16), helping control the match throughout.
Head Coach Jose Viera Cerame shared, "We are very happy to play back at home after being away for two weeks. The environment in Goodman was amazing. It was a good comeback game after having a tough weekend in Iowa. Now are focus is on Rochester Christian on Friday and Lawrence Tech on Saturday. Bethel will face the Rochester Christian University Warriors (0-18, 0-14) on the road on Friday, March 27 at 7 PM.
