Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---The Bethel Women's Lacrosse Team (3-2, 2-1) fell 18-5 to the No. 8 Indiana Tech Warriors ( 4-1, 3-0) on Saturday at Morey Field.
Indiana Tech set the tone early, scoring four goals in the opening quarter and building a 7-2 lead after the first. Bethel responded with a pair of goals from
Kyra Dominick and
Brooklynn Sallee, but the visitors extended their lead to 11-4 at the half.
The Pilots found momentum in the third quarter as
Ella Vick added another goal and
Megan Williams converted on a man-up opportunity, cutting into the deficit. However, Indiana Tech responded with consistent scoring down the stretch to secure the win.
Sallee led Bethel with two points (1 goal, 1 assist), while Dominick, Williams,
Mackenzie Holland, and
Ella Vick each added a goal.
Maddie Reel recorded 11 saves in goal.
Indiana Tech was led by Brook Maul (5 goals) and Liliana Rivera (3 goals, 4 points), helping the Warriors improve to 5-2 on the season.
The Pilots will look for their next victory on Saturday, March 28 when they will host the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (3-4, 1-1) who are currently tied for tenth in the NAIA. Gametime is set for 1 PM.
