GAME ONE (L 1-11)
Following a scoreless three innings, Goshen took the lead in the fourth with Nick Padron crossing home plate, thanks to Aidan Calvey's double.
The Pilots capitalized on Goshen's pitching in the top of the fifth, with

Elijah Gaines reaching base on balls.
Hudson Francis pinch ran for Thorn, and scored the first and only Pilot run when teammate
Trey Delp was walked.
GAME TWO (W 3-1, 8 Innings)
The Pilots turned it around in game two, with
Adam Walters pitching a complete game to pick up the win from the mound.
Neither team scored until the top of the eighth, when Bethel loaded up the bases with a base hit by
Liam Paden, a double by Walters, and
Elijah Gaines reaching on an intentional walk.
Anthony Cimini, who pinch ran for Paden, stole home on a wild pitch to make it a 1-0 game.
Jesse Stout was walked to put the pressure on the Maple Leafs. Walters took the opportunity to score with a throwing error by the pitcher (2-0).
As Goshen struggled on the mound,
Peyton Workman found first (hit by pitch), to bring in
Jesse Stout for the final Bethel run.
Head Coach
Seth Zartman shared, "...We bounced back nicely in game two, despite the snow, and found a way to grind out the victory. It was a very good complete game performance by
Adam Walters, and our offense found a way to put some runs o the board to secure the victory! I am proud of our team coming through with a series win overall on the weekend."
The Pilots will next face Western Michigan University on Tuesday, March 17 at 3 PM. The exhibition will take place on Robert J. Bobb Stadium at Hyames Field.
