BOURBONNAIS, Ill. ---The Bethel Men's Track and Field Team competed Friday at the Olivet Nazarene University Invite, highlighted by two top five finishes, and multiple personal and season-best marks.
Sophomore
Mark Brissau led the way on the track, qualifying for the finals in the 60m before finishing second overall with a time of 7.05s. Brissau also posted a season-best in the 200m, crossing the line in 23.32s.
Junior
Marcus Smith joined Brissau in the 60m Final, placing eighth (7.22s), and later posted a 23.72s time in the 200m.
In the distance events, senior
Aaron Douglass turned in a strong showing in the mile, placing fifth overall with a time of 4:31.22. Junior
Logan Mann recorded a personal record in the mile at 5:21.65 and also competed in the 800m earlier in the day.
From the field, junior
Tyler Simpson delivered a solid performance in the shot put, finishing 12th with a throw of 12.97m, while freshman
Jacob Beneker added a personal record in the long jump at 5.59 meters.
The Pilots will look to carry these performances forward at the Midwest Classic, hosted by Indiana Wesleyan in Marion, Ind. on Feb 7th.
