VALPARAISO, Ind.---The Bethel Men's Swim & Dive Team fell 209-47 to NCAA Division One Valparaiso University on Friday evening at Valparaiso High School.
Senior
Zach Anguish claimed first place in the 1000 Yard Free with a time of 10:06.78, alongside a third place finish in the 500 Yard Free (4:55.75).
Freshman
Jorge Souto Vilas showcased success in multiple events,finishing second in the 200 Yard Individual Medley (1:58.12), narrowly missing an NAIA provisional time of 1:57.36. Vilas also placed third in the 100 Yard Breaststroke Event (1:00.07), just one second short of the NAIA provisional standard (59.08).
Finally Sophomore
Andrew Williams posted two third place finishes in the 50 Yard Free (22.49), nearly hitting the NAIA provisional standard of 21.72, and the 200 Yard Free (1:49.84).
The Pilots will next compete at Elkhart Health & Aquatics on Saturday, Jan. 24 for Senior Day. The meet will commence at 1 PM and Seniors
