Box Score NOTRE DAME, Ind. ---The NAIA Ranked No. 10 Bethel Pilots (4-1-1) defeated the Holy Cross Saints (2-2) 1-0 on Saints Field on Wednesday evening.

In the 26th minute of the first, Freshman Luca Canto hit the back of the net, assisted by Thiago Dos Santos.  

Canto's game-winning goal is his second of the 2025 season. Canto previously scored against the NAIA Ranked No. 22 University of Rio Grande Red Storm on September 1st. 

Head Coach Thiago Pinto shared, "Another important win tonight, we had a lot of great moments going forward in which we created a lot of chances. We need ot be more clinical in the final third, but proud of how we defended to keep the shut out." 

Maarten Schouten played all 90 minutes as the keeper for the Pilots, recording one save in the eighth minute of the game. This was the first shutout for the freshman as a Bethel Pilot.
