MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---The No. 11 Bethel Pilots (1-0) defeated the Graceland University Yellowjackets (0-1) on a perfect fall evening tonight on Morey Field.  
 

Junior Midfielder Fernando Laserna and Graduate Forward Dani Suarez made their first appearances as Bethel Pilots. Both Laserna and Suarez made an immediate impact for the team, each scoring one goal.  

Returners Thiago Dos Santos and Julian Vargas also scored one goal each to give the Pilots a competitive edge.  

Head Coach Thiago Pinto shared, "Couldn't ask for a better start of the season...team did well in bringing what we have worked through preseason to the game. Need to continue to build on every performance whether winning or losing, and tougher games will come for sure."  

This growth mindset is exactly what the No. 11 Bethel Pilots will need as they face No. 4 University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) this Saturday, August 23 at 2:00 p.m. on Morey Field.
