Mishawaka, Ind. — The Bethel Pilots Women's Lacrosse team (5-3, 2-1) delivered a commanding performance on Saturday, defeating the Rochester Christian Warriors (1-3, 1-2) with a final score of 18-1 at Gardner Field.
The Pilots set the tone early, with Mackenzie Holland scoring the first goal unassisted at 14:27 in the first quarter. This was quickly followed by Addi Jones at 14:00 and Chloe Harding at 13:38, both unassisted, bringing the score to 3-0. Holland continued her impressive play, adding another unassisted goal at 13:14.
Bethel's offensive onslaught continued with goals from Addi Jones, Serenity Kretschmer, Callie Brondyke, PJ Pearson, and Chloe Harding, all within the first quarter, pushing the lead to 12-0 by the end of the period.
The Pilots maintained their momentum in the second quarter, with Ella Vick and Kretschmer adding to the tally, making it 14-0.
PJ Pearson scored again just before halftime, and Holland added another goal in the third quarter, bringing the score to 16-0. Rochester Christian's Liliana Tasich managed to score their lone goal at 12:21 in the fourth quarter, but Bethel responded with goals from Jones and Pearson to finalize the score at 18-1.
The Pilots' victory was marked by strong individual performances, particularly from Holland, Jones, and Kretschmer, who each contributed multiple goals. Bethel's defense also played a crucial role, limiting the Warriors to just one goal throughout the match.
The Pilots' next game is against the Indiana Tech Warriors in Fort Wayne on Saturday, March 29 at 1:00 p.m.
