Box Score WINONA LAKE, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots (2-0) defeated the Lawrence Tech Blue Devils (1-2) 84-52 on Day One of the Val Weinstein Classic on Friday evening.
Previous to Friday's matchup, Bethel had not faced Lawrence Tech in over a decade. The Pilots last defeated Lawrence Tech 72-59 on Oct. 24, 2014.
Mariah Claywell was the leading scorer for the Pilots with 16 points, shooting 5-12 (41.6%) from the field while racking up ten boards.
Jazmyn Smith led the team in rebounds with 13, showcasing 14 points in addition to a block.
Freshman
Joslyn Marshall led the way from downtown, shooting perfectly from three (3-3).

The Pilots will compete in Day Two of the Val Weinstein Classic tomorrow, and will face the Indiana University East Red Wolves at 12 PM in the Manahan OCC.
