Head Coach
Steve Drabyn shared, "Overall, proud of the guys for finding a way to win a tough road game...We got off to a good start, and shot the ball really well from three. Our guys did a good job of taking what the defense gave them, which were kick out threes with them packing the paint."
Drabyn continued, "I thought we took our foot off the gas when we got a lead and gave them some easy buckets that gave them confidence. We should have done a better job of forcing tough twos and taking away threes. They went 5-9 from 3 in second half that really hurt us. Al Peciulis had some key offensive rebounds late,
Jameir Jefferson gave us great minutes,
Andrew Hedrick hit some clutch shots, and
Colin Comer got us going in that first half. We look forward to getting better on both ends of the floor and being back at home on Saturday against a good St. Xavier team."
Homecoming Tip-off against the Saint Xavier Cougars (1-4) is set for 2 PM this Sat, Nov. 15 in the Gates Gymansium.
