CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa. ---The Bethel Women's Cross Country Team competed in the Seminole Valley Stampede on Saturday morning.
Although the women did not record a team score,
Adelyn Rainsberger and
Melody Seager showcased strong performances.
Freshman
Adelyn Rainsberger ran her first 6k as a Pilot, finishing 77th out of 171 runners who placed. Rainsberger's time of 25:35.9 ties her for 44
th on Bethel's All Time 6k Performances List. Rainsberger shared, "This was such a great opportunity and I'm so glad I got to experience it with my team!"
Melody Seager also placed, finishing 144th (29:18.9), the second best time in the junior's career.
Anna Enderle paced a teammate through 4k, then dropped out per her race plan (since she raced last week).
Head Coach Ryan Sommers shared, "Very encouraged by the team's performances today. They bought in and utilized the race plan well today. Effort and attitude continues to be very positive. We are ahead of schedule for this point in the season. Excited for our home meet this next week."
Bethel's home meet on Friday, Oct. 10th will be held at St. Patrick's County Park at 2:30 PM.
