ELKHART, Ind.--- The Bethel Pilots (1-0) defeated the Olivet Nazarene University Tigers (0-1) on Saturday afternoon at the Elkhart Health and Aquatics Center.
Freshman
Ella Wardle took first place for the 100 Breast (1:08.86) and 200 Individual Medley (2:12.71). The future is bright for the freshman, who showcased her first performance as a Pilot.
Senior
Jaylyn Harrison claimed the 200 Free for the Pilots with a time of 2:00.04. Harrison also won the 50 Free (25.02).
Junior Aixa Rechionni took first in the 100 Back (1:00.34), as well as the 100 Free (55.01).
Head Coach
Chadd Maurer, who received his first win with the Bethel Swim and Dive Program, shared, "With the victories in these six individual events, it helped seal the win for the women.There were many other great swims throughout the meet with many of men and women posting times either at, or faster than, their previous times from this point last season which is a great way to start out...We will continue to grow and get stronger and faster!"
The Pilots will next face Ohio Northern University at 1:00 PM on Saturday, Oct. 18th.
