Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. ---The Bethel Pilots (9-5-2, 3-4-1) tied 0-0 with the No. 13 Spring Arbor University Cougars (8-3-5, 4-2-2) on Saturday evening on Morey Field.
The Pilots announced nine seniors prior to kickoff to celebrate their contributions to the Bethel Women's Soccer Program. Honorees were
Ada Ronnemaa, Riley Smith,
Grace Beck, Sarah Clayborn,
Karly Harfouche,
Meghan Kiebel, Erin Aldridge,
Leena Thomas, and
Aubrey Vervynckt.
With the 0-0 tie, the Pilots remain in sixth place in the Crossroads League standings, behind Spring Arbor who holds one additional conference win over the Pilots.
Senior
Leena Thomas led Bethel in shots (four) and shots on goal (three).
Meghan Kiebel showcased an incredible performance (five saves). In the 43rd minute of the matchup, fans held the edge of their seat as the senior keeper saved one shot, then bounced back to block another shot that resulted in an offside call against Spring Arbor.
The Pilots will next travel to Marion, Ind. on Wed, Oct. 29 to face the No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats. Kickoff is set for approximately 7 PM on the IWU Soccer Field.
