Box Score WINONA LAKE, Ind. ---The Bethel Pilots (15-13, 7-8) fell 3-1 (20-25, 24-26, 25-15, 22-25) to the Grace College Lancers (15-12, 8-7) on Saturday afternoon at Manahan OCC.
The Pilots now rank seventh in the Crossroads League behind the Marian University Knights and above the Spring Arbor University Cougars.
Taylor Delp led the team in kills (15), crushing her previous in-game season high of 13, recorded at Spring Arbor on Sept. 24.
Liberty Pierson led the team in blocks (five)
In their third set victory, the Pilots came out strong with a 4-0 run.
Bethel's blocking halted the Lancer offense with three consecutive blocks for points six through eight (8-3 Bethel lead).
Sophia Beeson terminated the final kill of the third for a 25-15 Bethel win.
While the teams matched up well in most statistical areas, the Pilots (eight) doubled the number of missed serves by the Lancers (four).
The Pilots will look for their next win at home against the Spring Arbor Cougars on Wed, Oct. 29. First serve is set for approximately 7 PM in the Gates Gymnasium.
