MARION, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots (8-35, 4-26) fell to #17 Indiana Wesleyan University (33-9, 24-6) 4-1 and 9-1 Friday evening.
GAME 1
Indiana Wesleyan put up two runs in the first and one in the fourth and six.
The Pilots' lone run came in the seventh inning. Shelby White reached first from an IWU error, and Kate Cooper made it home to make it 4-1.
Kate Cooper earned one hit on the game, and one run scored.
Ryann Norris pitched six innings with two strikeouts, one walk, and eight hits on 85 pitches.
GAME 2
#17 IWU kept the pressure up in game two as the Pilots could only snag one run in the fourth when Emily Kidwell singled to center field, which brought in Looney.
Looney's run brought the IWU lead down to two (3-1), but the Wildcats put up six more runs to close the game in the sixth inning.
Harmony Looney pitched five innings with six hits, six walks, and one strikeout on 112 pitches.
Kidwell and Madison Shaw each had one recorded hit during the game, while Cooper had two.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Pilots will be at home on April 20th as they take on Mount Vernon Nazarene University at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
