HANOVER, Ind. --- The Bethel Women's Lacrosse squad (1-0) is victorious in their first match of the 2024 campaign as they defeated NCAA Division III opponent Hanover College (0-2) 17-7 Saturday afternoon.
The Pilots started slow as they went down 3-1 in the first quarter, with Brea Larrison scoring the year's first goal.
Bethel rallied together and went 7-3 in the second, which made the halftime score 8-6.
A man-down goal by Lydia Andrews, followed by another man-down goal by Isabell Gerbrand, put the Pilots up 11-7 in the third.
The Pilots then went 6-0 in the fourth quarter and closed the game, winning by 10 goals.
Brea Larrison led the team with six goals in the contest, followed by Isabell Gerbrand with four goals and one assist. Samantha Swope had seven saves on the day and earned her first win of the season.

The Pilots will travel to Anderson, Ind. Feb. 20 to take on Anderson University (Ind.) at 6:00 p.m.
