MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- In the fourth renewal of the US Highway 20 Cup and the 26th overall meeting between the Bethel Pilots (6-4-5, 0-3-4) and the Goshen Maple Leafs (1-9-5, 0-4-3) that ended in a 0-0 tie at Morey Field Saturday, honoring the seniors for the Women's Soccer program.

The Pilots had 11 shots with five on frame with many opportunities to score and seven of those shots came in the second half.

Onalee Gustafson fired first in the 14th minute which was saved by Aina Lopez and Goshen took their first shot in the 19th minute by Lexy Adamcsyk that missed wide left.

The action ramped up in the 49th minute with Annalise Jung fired from 12 yards away off a defender and hit the crossbar for a near goal that nearly crossed the goal line before it was cleared away.

Leena Thomas also nearly scored with a hard line drive that Lopez grabbed in the air, and then Thomas was blocked at the 18-foot line by a defender in the 64th minute.

Leila Mojtahedi booted a shot on frame in the 87th minute then the 89th minute with the match on the line but the first was saved and the second missed wide left.

Mojtahedi kicked a corner and connected with Thomas in the 89th minute but she missed wide right in their final chance to take the game which ultimately ended in a 0-0 tie.

The Pilots tied their fifth game of the season and they're fourth in Crossroads League play and sit tied with Mount Vernon Nazarene for seventh in the conference standings at 0-3-4 and are battling for one of the last spots in the Crossroads League Tournament.

Bethel takes on the Taylor Trojans in Upland, Ind. on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 7 p.m.
