MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Women's Basketball team (5-14, 0-9) could not grab the win at home vs. Grace College (11-8, 6-3) 80-56 Wednesday evening in a Crossroads League matchup.
Maiah Shelton started the scoring for the night with a jump shot, but Grace came on the attack, grabbed their first lead at 5-4, and never gave it back.
The Lancers went on a 17-point run for most of the first quarter and started the second quarter up 23-8.
Grace kept hitting shots as they went 56.9% from the floor during the game, and Bethel went 32.3%.
Grace led with 29 points in the paint as they controlled the action under the hoop.
Maiah Shelton led the offense with 17 points, one block, four assists, and five rebounds.
Behind her was Nyla Asad, who scored nine points, and Abby Williams, who recorded two blocks during the contest.

The Pilots will take on Goshen College on Jan. 27th in Gates Gymnasium at 1:00 p.m.
