Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Women's Basketball team (4-13, 0-8) was unable to get the conference win vs. Taylor University (9-10, 4-5) 67-45 on Saturday afternoon.
Maiah Shelton led the offense with 14 points and tacked on six rebounds and a steal.
Bethel had troubles from beyond the arc at 1-11 (9.1%).
Taylor attacked the boards as they scored 34 points in the paint to Bethel's 20.
Late in the game,
Shayla Alexander was able to get the one and hit the free throw for her three-point play.
Mariah Claywell and Shelton each made shots late in the game to have a small run but still were down by 15 plus.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
• The Pilots turned over the ball 11 times, which allowed TU to capitalize on 18 points.
• Bethel had 11 bench points which outscored Taylor by two.
