Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Women's Volleyball team (12-1, 1-1) had a tough matchup vs. Grace College (11-2, 2-0) as the Lancers came to Gates Gymnasium and handed the Pilots their first loss of the season.
The first set started with a Lancer 7-0 run with multiple aces from Jadyn Ross. The Pilots had a slow comeback and grabbed a 21-20 lead with kills from Maddy Payne and Cheyanne Seymour. The Lancers pressed on as they went on a five-point run to finish the set.
The second set didn't fare well for the Pilots, as the Lancers won 25-21. The Pilots battled as it was a close set for most of the time, with a couple of Isabelle Greene kills to keep the offense alive.
The Pilots came out strong in the third set with a 7-2 lead, but Grace found a way to come back. It was back and forth until 19-19 when the Lancers went on a 6-1 run to sweep the Pilots and hand them their first loss of the 2023 season.
