Box Score MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The #1 Bethel University Pilots (2-0-1) had a tough matchup vs. #13 Oklahoma Wesleyan Eagles (0-1-1) with many colored cards given out, which resulted in a 2-2 tie.
Bethel had the upper hand early in the first with multiple shots on goal recorded, but the Eagles refused to let up early.
The scoring started with an early goal for the Eagles in the second half as they caught Bethel off guard and found the back of the net.
After multiple chances, Piero Sabroso was fouled inside the box and earned himself a penalty kick. Taking it himself, he confidently struck the ball and put the Pilots on the board (1-1).
Just 45 seconds later, the Pilots' offense took charge, created an opportunity by Sabroso, and found Tim Noeding right in front of the goal to give the Pilots a 2-1 lead with 20 minutes to play.
In the 90th minute, after many altercations, a tripping foul was called inside the box on the Pilots' end, resulting in a PK for the Eagles. Stefan Cvetanovic fired it past the keeper to tie the game 2-2.
Multiple yellow cards were given to both sides in each half, and each team recorded one red card in the contest.
