SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots fell to the NAIA second-ranked Lawrence Tech Blue Devils 22-3 at Leighton Stadium on the campus of Saint Joseph High School due to weather concerns for the game.
In the first quarter, Kaley Butler scored unassisted seconds after the opening face-off to give the Pilots a 1-0 lead. Lawrence Tech scored two minutes later at 12:25 to tie the game and take their first lead at 11:54, 2-1.
Isabell Gerbrand tied the game 2-2 at 9:48 on an unassisted goal, but the Blue Devils scored three goals before the end of the first quarter, 5-2.
The Pilots could not get a shot off in the second quarter and allowed nine goals to go into half-time with a 14-2 deficit.
Lawrence Tech put up another seven goals before Alyssa Lundy broke the Pilots' silence with an unassisted goal at 4:08 in the fourth quarter to make it 21-3, but Bethel would ultimately fall to the Blue Devils 22-3 after one last goal at 1:15.

- Lawrence Tech took 10 free-position shots and won 20 draw controls.
- Samantha Swope had seven saves against the Blue Devils.

The Pilots hit the road for two challenging games against RV Siena Heights at O'Laughlin Stadium in Adrian, Mich., on Wednesday, Apr. 5 at 7 p.m. and on Saturday, Apr. 8, the ninth-ranked Aquinas Saints host the Pilots at the AQ Athletic Field in Grand Rapids, Mich. at 1 p.m.
