Box Score 2 Upland, Ind. --- The Bethel University Softball team (1-21, 0-12) dropped both road games at Taylor University (14-12, 6-6) Thursday afternoon.
GAME 1
The Pilots struck first in the top of the first inning after Emmie Pugh flew out to Center Field, which allowed Marissa Navarrete to score.
The bottom of the third is when Taylor first struck after the Trojans recorded two hits, which allowed one run to score.
Bethel scored again in the top of the fifth as Marissa Navarrete reached first by a fielder's choice, and Allison Snyder was able to reach home.
The bottom of the fifth is when Taylor took the lead as they had three runs come in off three hits.
Bethel responded in the top of the sixth with two runs from a Morgan Dyke RBI and an Allison Snyder RBI, which tied the game at 4-4.
Taylor then scored six runs to take the lead and close out the game, with the final being 10-4.
Ryann Norris pitched six innings and allowed 10 hits, 12 runs, and one homerun on 114 pitches.
GAME 2
Taylor got going early with a run in the bottom of the first and three runs in the bottom of the second.
The Pilots could grab a run in the top of the third off an error from the Trojans, which allowed Mackenzie Navarrete to score.
The Trojans continued to put up runs as they earned six more in the bottom of the third.
Bethel kept pushing as they earned another run in the top of the fourth with a Lita Sills RBI single to put Emmie Pugh through to the plate.
Taylor scored one last run in the bottom of the fourth to make it 11-2 after the Pilots couldn't get their offense rolling late in the fifth.
Hannah Frady pitched for four innings and recorded two strikeouts, 13 hits, and 11 runs on 91 pitches.

Bethel travels to Huntington, Ind., to take on Huntington University on April 1, with the first pitch of the doubleheader at 1 p.m.
