Fleming, Glasco and Sumer highlight Day 2 of Crossroads League Indoor Championship

Marion, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots Men's and Women's Track and Field teams finished the Crossroads League Indoor Championship in 7th and 6th, respectively.

DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS

The Men's team had two individual Crossroads League Champions, Shane Glasco in the High Jump and Elisha Fleming in the Heptathlon.

Glasco put up an NAIA B Standard jump of 2.01 meters to give him first place in the event. Elisha Fleming placed second in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.40, second in the long jump with a mark of 6.36 meters, first in the shot put with an 11.53-meter throw, first in the high jump with a 1.94-meter mark, second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.84 and fourth in the 1000-meter with a time of 3:03.24.

Brennen Bargesser placed fourth in the 400-meter dash with a time of 49.86, and Richard Corbitt placed fourth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 6.92.

For the Women's team, Sophia Sumer was the Crossroads League runner-up in the Pole Vault with a mark of 3.52 meters.

Madison Kauffman placed third in the Weight Throw with a 15.91-meter mark, and Markalah Barnes threw a 12.86-meter mark in the women's shot put and placed third.

NEXT TIME OUT

The Pilots compete in the NAIA Indoor Championship on Mar. 2-4, with day one starting at 12:30 p.m., day two starting at 10 a.m., and day three starting at noon.
