COLUMBIA, S.C. --- The Bethel Pilots finished the NCCAA Outdoor Track and Field National Championship at Columbia International University on Friday tied for fourth with the Grace Lancers with 58 points.
Lamarr Williams won the 100-meter with a school record time of 10.29 and is the 200-meter champion with a PR time of 20.93. In his freshman season, Williams won both events in the Indoor and Outdoor NCCAA Championships.
Mark Brissau also finished seventh in the 100-meter, running a 10.86.
In the 110-hurdles,
Derek Vondrak improved his performance with a fifth-place time of 16.21, and
Austin Mason placed seventh in the final with a 16.48.
The 4x100 Relay team of
Mark Brissau,
Brennen Bargesser, Josh Harmon, and
Lamarr Williams placed fourth with a 42.53, and the 4x400 Relay team of
Lucas Linder,
Landon Herbert, Phillip Harris, and
Trevor Smith finished ninth with a time of 3:26.10.
In the distance events,
Andrew Golba crossed the finish line in ninth after running a 16:13.68 in the 5,000 meters, and
Ezra Troyer also finished ninth in the 3,000 meters.
