Box Score 2 Hot Springs, Ark. --- The Bethel Pilots Baseball team (3-2) swept the Champion Christian Tigers (0-2) in both games of the double-header 7-3 in game one and 10-4 in game two.
GAME 1
Two Pilots had multi-hit games in the opening game of the series with senior
Cooper Tolson going 3-for-3 with two RBIs, a double and two runs scored, while
Jeremy Wiersema swung his way to his third multi-hit game this season.
Bethel dug their way out of an opening 2-1 deficit in the first inning and scored at least one run in the first three innings. In the top of the third, the Pilots put up four insurance runs to grow the lead to 6-2.
Senior
Hunter Crist earned the win after throwing 4.2 innings five hits, three runs, three walks and five strikeouts. Junior
Brad VanOverberghe gets the save and finished with 2 innings pitched, one hit and one strikeout.

GAME 2
Starting Pitcher
Andrew Gerber kept the Tigers quiet in the first three innings of his outing and only allowed two total runs in his five innings on the hill. The Pilot offense was able to collect five runs before Champion Christian could get on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning.
Wiersema continued his rampage at the plate with two singles and a walk, but he added two stolen bases to his resume. Junior Catcher
Dominic Deisler went off for his first three-hit game this season and stole two bases of his own in the nightcap of the double-header.
Gerber is the winning pitcher for Bethel with five innings pitched, two runs, two walks and four strikeouts and
Peyton Ring gets the save in one inning, two runs, four walks and two strikeouts.
