MARION, Ind. --- Bethel University Women's Basketball team (2-7, 0-3) couldn't upset the #3 Indiana Wesleyan University Wildcats (7-1, 3-0) on the road and fell 92-56.
The Pilots' offense started with an Abby Williams layup followed by a Nyla Asad jump shot at 6:42 to make the score 7-4 IWU.
After being down eight, Mariah Claywell and Maiah Shelton each made a shot, followed by a Shelton three-pointer to bring the match to a one-point game at 3:10.
In the second quarter, IWU took control and took advantage of turnovers from the Pilots. IWU had the lead at half by the score of 58-31.
Asad made three more buckets in the third quarter as she had a strong run in the middle of the game and had 13 points and four rebounds in the match.
Shelton continued to get by Wildcat defenders as she scored late in the third and fourth. Shelton recorded 18 points on the night, two rebounds, and a block.

- Bethel tallied three blocks during the game to IWU's one.
- The Pilots shot 66.7% from the free-throw line.
- Wesleyan outrebounded Bethel 29-19.
