Super Smash Bros. makes historic GLEC playoff run

MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- Super Smash Bros. had the best finish in GLEC program history in last week's Playoff contests.  

Super Smash Bros. defeated Trine 2-0 in ECAC and Valpo 2-0 in GLEC playoffs. They beat Baldwin Wallace 2-0 in the GLEC Playoffs but fell to Manchester 2-0. Imanol Chavez, Gus Pogue, Blake Wehlage, and Eric Trent all played very well at the GLEC playoffs as they helped the team to a 3rd place finish overall. 

Super Smash Bros. JV beat Husson University 2-0 in ECAC. 

League of Legends fell to Purdue 2-0 in NECC, Ohio Northern 2-0 in GLEC Playoffs, and Trine 2-0 in GLEC Playoffs. 

Valorant lost to Plymouth State 2-0 in ECAC. 

Rocket League beat Iona University 4-3 in ECAC but lost to Illinois 4-0 in NECC. Rocket League also lost to St. Ambrose 3-2 in NECC. Rocket League JV lost to Buena Vista University 4-1 in ECAC. 

Director of Esports Dan Wort said, "We had a lot of matches this week, highlighted by GLEC conference playoffs in Columbus, Ohio. Both our Super Smash Bros. and League of Legends teams competed on Friday, with our Smash team beating Valpo in the quarterfinals and Baldwin Wallace in the 3rd place match. The only loss was to Manchester in the Semi-Finals. This was the best finish for our Smash team in GLEC playoff history."
