MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- It was a beautiful day for playoff soccer and a tight quarterfinal matchup with the Saint Francis Cougars, who put the Pilots in a comeback scenario, and Bethel delivered.
The Cougars put the pressure on early with a couple of wide shots before Saint Francis' Fabio Leschinsky found the back of the net to take an early 1-0 lead.
The Pilots took a tight grip on possession in the second half, and Piero Sabroso connected with Julian Vargas Talamantes, tying the game in the 38th minute.
Sabroso found the net again in the 83rd minute to take the lead in an offense that was working quickly, working with long passes to prevent overtime and advance to the Crossroads League Semifinal.
