COLUMBIA, Sc. ---The #24 ranked Bethel University Women's' Volleyball squad (26-7) traveled to Columbia International University (32-1) in the Opening Round of the NAIA National Tournament but lost 3-1.
The Pilots couldn't get the victory as the first set ended 25-15, but Bethel fought back in the second and tied it up in the second set with kills from Cheyanne Seymour and Maddy Payne that helped boost the offense to their only set win.
The third set went back and forth as it came down to the wire when the CIU won in extra points 26-24 to go up on the Pilots 2-1.
The fourth set was won by CUI 25-19 and ended the Pilots 2023 campaign.
The Pilots are now 2-1 all-time against the Rams and 1-1 in the NAIA Opening Round.

The Pilots end the season ranked 24th in the NAIA with a record of 26-7 and 13-5 in the Crossroads League under first-year head coach Robert Frost.
