SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots Women's Basketball team faced their first NAIA top-25 opponent in the #25 IUSB Titans in the Student Activities Center, where the Pilots fell 88-65 on Wednesday.
The Pilots started down 5-10 at 7:14 in the first quarter, but Nyla Asad drained a deep ball to knock the deficit down to two points at 10-8.
Maiah Shelton gave the Pilots the lead with 54 seconds left in the first quarter, sinking a three of her own and gave the Pilots their first lead of the game, 21-20, but IUSB's Jazmen Watts by hitting a jumper to end the first, 22-21.
The second quarter slowly slipped away from BU with Abby Williams making a layup at 8:49, but by 5:21, the Titans rallied to a 10-point lead, 35-25.
The Titans ended the half 46-29 and grew the lead to their highest of the game, 25 points, at 59 seconds left in the third.
The Pilots fell 88-65 and now are 2-3 on the season and 0-2 on the road.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
	- Nyla Asad scored a career-high 27 points; she shot an impressive 80% from the field.
 
	- The Pilots took advantage of 16 points off turnovers.

The Pilots take on Goshen College in Goshen, Ind., for the US Highway 20 Cup on Saturday, Nov. 18 at 1 p.m.
