WINONA LAKE, Ind. --- The RV Bethel Pilots Women's Volleyball team swept the Grace Lancers and answered to the sweep the Pilots suffered in September.
The Pilots started out of the gate with a hot 9-2 run that was capped off by Taylor Delp's kill, then held the Lancers through the first set to a 25-19 set victory.
The second set started as a dogfight tied 4-4, but the Lancers took a slight lead at 7-8. Bethel answered back to a 10-4 run with Maddy Payne's kill, giving the Pilots an 18-13 lead, which led to a 25-20 set victory.
The offensive flame continued to burn in the third set, starting with a 10-3 run, and Isabelle Greene secured the sweep with a kill to win the set and match 25-14.
INSIDE THE BOXSCORE
- Grace was kept to a .083 hitting percentage while Bethel swung a .280.
- Isabelle Greene hit a .588 hitting percentage with 13 kills, and Taylor Delp hit .533 with nine kills.
NEXT TIME OUT
The Pilots continue their road trip to Fort Wayne, Ind., to take on the Saint Francis Cougars on Wednesday, Oct. 11, with the opening serve at 7 p.m.
