MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Women's Basketball team (1-0) took on Calumet College of St. Joseph (0-1) in the season opener in the Gates Gymnasium and dominated 90-24.
The Pilots started strong in the opening contest as they found a 15-point run that lasted most of the first quarter (19-3). Caroline Morris made the first points of the year with a layup at 8:47 left in the first quarter.
With a commanding lead, the Pilots were up by 32 with shots from Ellia Foster, Ella Haupert, Kallie Harrison, and more.
The third quarter matched the first two with jump shots made by Maiah Shelton and three-pointers from Hannah Ruddle and Harrison.
The Pilots still put up some points to finish the game, including an Alivia Dalrymple three-pointer with 6:43 left.
Maiah Shelton led the offense with 13 points and four assists. Carolina Morris earned 11 points and six rebounds, while Kallie Harrison had 10 points and three steals.

The Pilots will travel for game two to Gary, Ind., to take on Indiana University Northwest on Oct. 28th at 7:30 p.m.
