GOSHEN, Ind. --- Bethel University Women's Soccer (8-5-1, 4-3-0) battled Goshen College (5-8-3, 0-6-1) Saturday night in the US Highway 20 Cup as the Pilots scored two late goals to win 2-1.
Goshen scored early in the second half with a free kick from 35 yards out, giving them the match's first goal.
Bethel put the pressure on as they recorded 13 shots in the second half, trying to tie the match. Bethel scored with three minutes to play from the result of a failed Goshen clearance of a free kick and evened the game 1-1.
Immediately after, with two minutes to play, Audrey Lerch found a loose ball on the left side of the field and found the back of the net to give the Pilots a 2-1 lead and victory.
