MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel University Esports teams keep fighting for playoff position.
League of Legends defeated Louisville 2-1 in NECC but lost to Trine 2-0 in GLEC. Freshman Cody Copeland had 39 kills and 21 assists, and Senior Tony Reyes had 33 kills and 22 assists in the win over Louisville.
Super Smash Bros. Beat Monmouth 2-0 and North Carolina Wesleyan 2-0 in ECAC but fell to Manchester 2-0 in GLEC.
Valorant took down West Virginia Potomac St. 2-0 in ECAC. Sophomore Nate Kropiewnicki had 42 kills and 12 assists. Senior Alden Matta had 37 kills and 12 assists in a win over WVU Potomac St. They also beat Adrian College 2-0 in ECAC but lost to Lourdes University 2-1 in GLEC.
Rocket League grabbed a forfeit win over Buffalo St. but lost to Indiana 4-3 in NECC. Rocket League also lost to Concord University 4-1 in ECAC and Illinois State 3-2 in NECC.
Rocket League JV lost to Northeastern University 4-0 in ECAC.
Super Smash Bros. JV beat Penn St. Behrend 2-0 in ECAC and West Virginia Tech 2-0 in ECAC. Junior Parker Wilson took all nine stocks in game one and closed out game two by taking the last three stocks.
Director of Esports Dan Wort said, " We are in the heart of our season right now. Smash Bros. and League of Legends teams are still in playoff contention for the GLEC, while our Valorant team was eliminated with the loss vs. Lourdes. However, Valorant and the Smash Bros. teams are undefeated and tied for 1st in their respective ECAC divisions."
