Indianapolis, Ind. --- It was a hard-fought battle on Thursday night but eventually the Bethel University Women's Basketball team (4-9) fell to NCAA D2 University of Indianapolis (6-5) on the road by a score of 72-58.
The Pilots stayed close in the first quarter, tying the game four different times. Freshman guard
Mariah Claywell scored on a fastbreak jumper off a steal to tie the game at eight at 4:54 and junior forward
Caroline Morris would put the Pilots up by two after a seven-possession drought at the 3:30 mark, but the lead wouldn't last long with the Greyhounds' Liv Becker tied the game at 10 apiece and the home team held a 18-15 lead at the end of the quarter.
The Greyhound's increased their lead in the second quarter, outscoring Bethel 17-9 to take an 11-point lead to the intermission.
UIndy would shoot back up to a 14-point lead by the end of the 3
rd quarter, A back-and-forth rollercoaster would take place in the fourth quarter, with both teams scoring 20 points. Senior
Taylor Pasquale cut the UIndy lead to nine after a pair of free throws with 2:25 left in regulation, but it would not be enough for a comeback.

- Mariah Claywell outscored everyone on the floor with 15 points and Abby Williams complimented Claywell with 11 points
