Mishawaka, Ind. --- Steady winds of 35 mph and gusts of over 50 mph couldn't slow down NAIA #7 Bethel University, as they defeated Marian University Saturday night 5-0 in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals.
The offensive minded Pilots kept continuous pressure on the Knights with 18 shots during the game and added 6 corner kicks as well.
With a cross from Junior Jefter Pereira, Luan Bressy put the ball just past the keeper on the far post with his head in the 12^th minute of play. 18 minutes later, Andre Sabino gets fouled inside the box and puts one in the back of the net himself from a penalty pick.
Just after halftime, Pereira crossed again to Bressy and he gets another header in the 50^th minute. Andre Sabino gets his second of the game with a powerful shot just outside the box in the 53^rd minute. Late in a game, Marcos Estabaranz finishes the Pilots goals with one of his own in the 87^th minute of play.
The 2022 Regular Season Crossroads League Champions now have won 15 games in a row and look to continue the streak when they host Huntington in the league semi-final on Wednesday, November 9^th.
