Mishawaka, Ind. --- Some say that the grass isn't always greener on the other side, but for this week in Michiana, just finding the green grass was a blessing as the Pilots battled through snowy conditions and punched their ticket to the Final Site of the NAIA National Tournament by defeating Hastings College 3-0 Saturday at Morey Field.
Bethel scored early in the game from a cross by Tim Noeding to give
Luan Bressy his 19th goal of the season and his fourth of the postseason. From that point, Bethel would never look back as Noeding would help pad the lead with another cross in the 29th minute to sophomore Andres Maza who scored for the fifth time this season.
Noeding, The Crossroads League Player of the Year, would make the final blow to the Broncos in the 53rd minute to seal the victory and earn the trip to the NAIA Final site in Decatur, Alabama, the first trip for the Pilots to the NAIA Final Site since 2006.
