THOUGHTS FROM COACH DRABYN

  • "Our team learned a lesson today that we have to be ready to play at all times. We played a really well-coached and fundamental team today that did what they do better than we did what we do. They make you earn everything, slow the game down, play possession basketball, and if you aren't disciplined and ready to handle that well, it is a tough game to win. Coach McBride had his guys prepared and they palyed to their strengths better than we did. We didn't play with enough pace on offense, and they were allowed to guard how they are comfortable. On defense, they made us work the entire shot clock and we didn't make them uncomfortable enough. I am proud of our guys for not giving up and continuing to fight. I love this team, our growth, and what we can become. I look forward to getting back at it on Monday to prepare for another good team in William Penn next Saturday."

NEXT TIME OUT

  • The Pilots host No. 4 William Penn (Iowa) in the Wiekamp Athletic Center on Saturday at 2:00 pm.
