Ali Deatsch

Ali Deatsch begins her first season with the Pilots in 2015 as a volunteer assistant coach.

While earning her bachelor’s degree in physics, Deatsch also etched her named in the Elon University volleyball record books during her four-year career. From 2009 to 2012 as the libero for the Elon Phoenix, Deatsch picked up 1,919 career digs, landing her second on the school’s all-time career dig list. She also set a school record of aces during a single season since Elon made the move to NCAA DI competiton (54 aces in 2011). During her sophomore campaign, Deatsch helped the squad earn a Southern Conference North Division Championship, and she served as a co-captain during her junior and senior seasons.

Deatsch is currently a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame where she helped the Irish volleyball team during the 2014 season as a graduate student manager. Deatsch hails from Elmhurst, Illinois, where she played four years as a libero for York High School and eight seasons for 1st Alliance Volleyball Club before heading to Elon.
