"My high school experience for soccer was different than most because I was homeschooled. I played club soccer and trained year round. As a fifteen year old, I represented the United States on a hand picked local team to play in the United Games in Klagenfurt, Austria in the U19 category. My team ended as championship runner ups after a 0-0 final that went to double overtime and penalty kicks. 
Soccer has always been a doorway for me to share Jesus with my teammates and show them through example and field behavior/interactions with the opponents and refs that it’s about more than just soccer. Jesus is the center of it all. It’s about relationships with each other and with God. He is my best friend, and so I’m honored to have the opportunity to continue bringing glory to Him in my college career through the gift He gave me in soccer." - Isabella Ferreira
