Aubrey Minix enters her first season with the Lady Pilots basketball team and will serve as the head coach for the junior varsity as well as an assistant coach on the varsity level. Minix is not a stranger to women’s basketball fans in Michiana as she graduated from Oregon-Davis High School in 2009 before heading to Murray State University to begin her collegiate career. After two seasons (including a redshirt option) with the Racers, Minix transferred to the University of Southern Indiana where she played from 2011 to 2014. Her high school playing career is highlighted with an IHSAA State Championship in 2007, the IHSAA record for 363 three-point field goals made in a career (breaking Shanna Zolman’s record of 319), scoring an Oregon-Davis school record of 41 points in a game (11-of-14 from three-point range), tallying 1,608 career points (school’s all-time record), and being named a McDonald’s All-American nominee. Minix brings with her coaching experience from camp coaching at USI from 2011 to 2014 and has served as a varsity assistant and seventh grade head coach at Oregon-Davis.
