WINONA LAKE, Ind. - Led by the sensational play of senior
Earl Williams, the Bethel Men's Golf team jumped out to a hot start on day one and cruised to an 9-shot win in the Grace Invitational, hosted by Stonehenge Golf Club.
Williams' opening round of 67 was just one better than teammate
Amaury Wouters, as Bethel's team score of 286 gave them a 5-shot lead over the hosts. Williams and Wouters would cool off a little bit on day 2, with identical scores of 74, but freshman
Victor Siguier sparked the Pilots with an even par score of 71, his personal best in just three career college tournaments. The Pilots 295 was 4 better than the Lancers for the day.
Williams earned a spot in a playoff for medalist honors for the third straight tournament and once again came away with a victory, winning on the third hole of the sudden death affair.
