MISHAWAKA, Ind. --- The Bethel Pilots (10-0, 8-0) advanced to the Crossroads League semifinal after they completed the 7-0 sweep over the Saint Francis Cougars (1-8, 1-7) at Ward Baker Park on Monday.
The Pilots took the doubles point with
Ariadne Kokoula and
Farida El Sayed defeating Ellen Reidy and Lauren Korte 6-0 in one doubles, and the duo
Saige Rinkenberger and Carla Montaruli won two doubles 6-2.
Kaavya Palani and
Szilvi Ferenczy took three doubles by forfeit.
In singles play,
Ariadne Kokoula defeated Ellen Reidy in one singles 6-2, 6-0,
Kenzie Abdelaal won two singles over Lauren Korte 6-1, 6-0,
Sandy Sharaf was victorious over Victoria Rodenbeck in three singles 6-2, 6-0,
Farida El Sayed won four singles over Emma Dellinger 6-1, 6-0,
Saige Rinkenberger defeated Elizabeth Klinger in five singles 6-0, 6-2 and Carla Montaruli won six singles with a forfeit by Saint Francis (Ind.).
CROSSROADS LEAGUE SEMIFINAL
The Pilots face off with either Huntington or Indiana Wesleyan for the Crossroads League semifinal at Ward Baker Park on Thursday, Oct. 3.
