PERU, Ind. — Led by top performers Nico Sabogal,
Earl Williams and
Jonah Kumfer, the Bethel University men's golf team ran away with the team trophy, winning the Rumble at The Rock, held at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind. Friday and Saturday.
Sabogal paced the Pilots with 73-75 to finish in 2nd place overall, while Williams (73-76) finished 5th and Kumfer (78-72) finished 6th overall.
As a team, the Pilots backed up their big NCCAA North Central Region Championship of a week ago shooting 300-296-596 and winning by 10 shots.
Bethel's next tournament comes on September 30th when they travel to the Lancer Invitational at Stonehenge Golf Club for a one-day, 36-hole event.
