MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The (RV) Bethel Pilots Women's Tennis team continued their undefeated streak, improving to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in Crossroads League play, with a decisive 5-2 victory over the Spring Arbor Cougars.
In doubles action, the Pilots secured two out of three matches. At the #1 spot, Ariadne Kokoula and Farida Ahmed Elsayed fell to Moorea Mcnalley and Victoria Herrington of Spring Arbor, 5-7. The #2 doubles team of Alexia Pena and Kaavya Palani dominated Madelyn Dell and Lilah Dean, 6-1. Sandy Sharaf and Kenzy Abdelaal clinched the #3 doubles match against Olivia Creech and Isabel Abraham, 6-3.
The Pilots showcased their strength in singles matches, winning four out of six. At the #1 singles position, Ariadne Kokoula was defeated by Victoria Herrington, 0-6, 2-6. Kaavya Palani triumphed over Moorea Mcnalley at #2 singles, 6-1, 6-3. Kenzy Abdelaal won against Olivia Creech at #3 singles, 6-0, 6-4. Sandy Sharaf defeated Isabel Abraham at #4 singles, 6-2, 6-1. Farida Ahmed Elsayed faced a tough match at #5 singles, losing to Lilah Dean, 3-6, 6-1, 2-6. Alexia Pena clinched the final singles match at #6, overcoming Madelyn Dell, 6-2, 4-6, [11-9].
